About the event

Tools for Self Healing: Neck and Shoulders is the first workshop in a series exploring methods for easing tension in the body. In this first workshop we’ll be focusing on one of the most common areas of tension: neck and upper back.

This workshop is a perfect fit for anyone who works at a desk or regularly experiences high stress and anxiety.

Workshop Details

After a brief presentation on relevant anatomy, we’ll dive into strategies to help relieve tension in your neck and shoulders through self massage, gua sha, muscle & nerve stretches, and mobility exercises.

Participants should wear clothes they feel comfortable and can move in. There will be some yoga mats available to use, but you are invited to bring your own.

Please note that this workshop involves sitting and laying on the floor. If that’s not accessible for you please email Rebecca at berrybodywork@gmail.com to discuss accommodations.

To maintain a safe and intimate environment, the workshop will be capped at 10 people.

Your Host & The Space

Rebecca is a massage therapist specializing in the intersection of chronic pain and anxiety. To expand her mind-body practice, she is finishing up training to become a yoga instructor. When she’s not massaging, she spends her time writing, training in pole/aerial arts, or being a couch potato with her adorable pitbull, Bennet. This event will be hosted at Epicenter Indy, a coworking space in the Bates-Hendricks neighborhood for holistic practitioners.
