About the event
Workshop: Navigating Grief with Maya Black
Grief is an inevitable part of life, yet it’s something we rarely discuss openly. In this two-hour workshop, Maya Black invites you into a safe and compassionate space to explore the complexities of grief. Having experienced profound losses at different stages of her life, Maya understands the deep pain that comes with losing loved ones and navigating all forms of loss, from relationships to jobs and homes.
This workshop will begin with introductions, where participants will share their names and the losses they are grieving. Maya will guide a discussion on the true nature of grief, debunking myths and highlighting the unhelpful things often said in times of mourning. Participants will be encouraged to share their personal stories, while learning strategies to support themselves and each other on their journey of healing. This is not about “moving on,” but about moving forward with understanding…
